Is the world friendly?
The MBSAT Foundation is an education and training site with a single purpose: to strengthen people's ability to make skilful decisions. We call this MINDING — MINDING our own quality of life, MINDING peaceful coexistence on this planet, and MINDING the planet's capacity to sustain life.
Albert Einstein is said to have remarked that the most important decision a person makes is whether the universe is friendly or not. How we work, love, decide and face uncertainty follows from that answer. MBSAT – Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training – is a training of the mind that helps you answer the question for yourself: not as a belief, but as a daily practice.
In a world where intelligent machines take over more and more tasks, the properly human work becomes more important, not less: perceiving clearly, deciding wisely, acting in peace with oneself and others. MBSAT 3.0 calls this work MINDING – the steady, caring attention to what is alive and in our keeping.
MBSAT is a comprehensive training of the mind: it integrates your body, emotions, thoughts and action impulses (BETA) and recalibrates your mental models of the world (META).

The MBSAT Path
At the centre is The MBSAT Path: eight sessions that build on one another step by step and translate insights from neuroscience, psychology and contemplative practice into everyday life. Each session joins understanding and practice; the rhythm adapts to your life, not the other way round.
With the publication of the book MINDING, the Path will be accompanied by MBSATi, an AI companion that practises with you, answers questions and helps carry what you learn into your daily life – always under human oversight and within clear boundaries.
MBSAT is a path in eight sessions – at a rhythm that fits your life.
